A homemaker can offer assistance with most day to day functions, including light housekeeping, assistance with shopping and meal preparation, transportation to the doctor and friendly companionship.  

A personal care aide can provide assistance with bathing and personal grooming, and can ensure that medications are taken as directed by the client’s physician.  The services of a personal care aide can be interwoven with those of a Registered Nurse, if required, to ensure that all physical, as well as emotional, needs of the client are met.
